E. Guy Frizzell was a founding member of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club. His collection includes books, many signed by the author, as well as his papers.

Scope and Contents Harvey Broome (1902-1968) was a lawyer, conservationist, writer of natural history. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee (1923), received a law degree from Harvard (1926), and was licensed to practice law in Tennessee and before the Sixth U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. District Court, Eastern District of Tennessee, Harvey Broome was one of the organizers of the Wilderness Society in 1935. Scope and Contents Leroy Fox was one of the original engineers of the Philadelphia-based Rohm & Haas Co. plant. Leroy and his wife, Lucille, moved from Philadelphia, Penn., to what would become their lifelong home in Knoxville when Rohm & Haas Co. started a Plexiglas production plant in Knoxville in 1943.
