Thelma Miller Overholtzer Family Bible. Bible belonged to Thelma Miller Overholtzer (Mrs. Albert G.) and contains entries for Hughs, Cason, Bush, Miller, Overholtzer, McIntyre, McKenzie, Bullock, Ivey, and Deason families. Bible is dated 1907. Bible is in extremely fragile condition and its spine is damaged. “Bible from First Presbyterian Church.”

Van Deventer Collection
This collection documents the Van Deventer, Rhea, Campbell, Cowan, Lynn, and Russell families. The major donors were Martha Rhea Van Deventer and her children: Robert, Laetitia, and Isabella. The collection includes many small artifacts, textiles, manuscripts, photographs, and artwork. Robert Van Deventer’s art is an important part of the collection. 1877 photographs of Island Home in boxes 52-53. A finding aid is available.

Williams Family Bible (David and Ella Cormick Williams) (Gift of J. P. Roddy III)
Williams Family Bible, gift of J. P. Roddy III. Bible belonged to David and Ella Cormick Williams, and contains marriage, death, and birth records (1827-1929) for Williams, Cormick, Hutton, Ellis, Knox, Adams, and Stewart families. Bible is dated 1881 and is in good condition. Also, there are three envelopes of items found inside the Bible: loose papers, unidentified braided hair, and a handmade bookmark.

Young Family Bible and photographs. Bath County, Ky. “The Holy Bible: Old and New Testaments” was published in Cincinnati by E. Morgan & Company in 1851. The bible also has a Young family genealogy (handwritten) inserted with the section of births, deaths, and marriages. The genealogy was written by V. B. (Van Buren) Young (1830-1892). 24 photographs mounted on cards are also included, unidentified but mostly taken in Mt. Sterling, Ky.
