Scope and Contents Robert B. Barker (1901-1980) was a native of North Carolina. After serving in World War I, he attended George Washington University and National University Law School. He passed the bar examination and practiced law in Tennessee and in the District of Columbia. He was one of the lawyers for the Army McCarthy Hearings. Civil War research was done by lawyer Robert B.
