Scope and Contents The Charles Floyd Shipe Papers consist primarily of the letters written by Floyd Shipe to his wife Ruth Caroline Fowler Shipe during World War II. Floyd Shipe was born on June 6, 1909, in Knox County, Tennessee, and died on March 25, 1993.
