Scrapbook of Mrs. Nelle Potts Cates (or Cate) (1901-1980) made the scrapbook during World War I, using her father's ledger to make her scrapbook. Her father, A. J. Potts, was tax assessor for Knoxville and some of the ledger pages can be seen, ca. 1906. Donor and her sister, Jean Cates of Cleveland, Tenn., are the daughters of Mrs. Cates. Transferred from ETHS. Gift of Mrs. William C. Hunter.
