The Jane Gray Buchanan consists of correspondence, manuscripts, photographs, proofs, negatives, maps, research materials, expenses, and drafts used in the publication of Stories of Early Inns and Taverns of the East Tennessee Country and Early Inns and Taverns of East Tennessee: A Photoessay. Much of the research that went into the books originated from the McClung Historical Collection.
