2 notebooks (1 manuscripts; 1 photographs) with detailed descriptive list; Worthington family; Duncan family; Anderson County Tenn; Tadlock’s Chapel, Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The family lived on the present site of Oak Ridge, Tenn. The family cemetery is on government property but maintained by the family. Jesse Brown Worthington (1839-1906) and his family founded Tadlock’s Chapel.

Original notes on East Tennessee county cemeteries (WPA Check List Of Cemeteries). Note cards for Blount, Carter, Claiborne, Hawkins, White, Van Buren (incomplete) Counties. Typed transcriptions for some of the counties. Some cards are on printed half sheets of paper, others on 4 x 6 cards. Information is filled in by hand in pencil.

Scope and Contents W. S. (Winfield Scott) Hannum (1862-1938) was possibly born a slave in Blount County, Tennessee. However, he lived most of his life in Knoxville. Hannum was the longtime janitor of the Knox County Court House (1908-1938). He and his wife Julia were active members of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. Hannum was also a member of District Grand Lodge No. 6, Grand United Order of Odd Fellows from 1902-1930. There are papers from the church and other interests of Hannum and his wife...

Young Family Bible and photographs. Bath County, Ky. “The Holy Bible: Old and New Testaments” was published in Cincinnati by E. Morgan & Company in 1851. The bible also has a Young family genealogy (handwritten) inserted with the section of births, deaths, and marriages. The genealogy was written by V. B. (Van Buren) Young (1830-1892). 24 photographs mounted on cards are also included, unidentified but mostly taken in Mt. Sterling, Ky.
