Taylor Papers include the personal papers of three generations of the Taylor family: Alexander William Taylor, his son George Caldwell Taylor and George’s son Jerome Gregg Taylor. The bulk of the collection is made up of A. W. Taylor’s correspondence, handwritten speeches and sermons, and pamphlet collection (PA and Greene County, Tenn). Scope and Contents Evelyn Bonham was the daughter of Walter M. and Jennie Bonham. They lived at 1831 Melrose Avenue, Knoxville, Tenn. Evelyn Bonham named her scrapbook “Happy Days Vol. I. E.B. 1917-1919.” The scrapbook contains mementos from high school days and the year of many travels following Miss Bonham’s graduation. Knoxville High School (KHS) memorabilia includes ticket stubs of football games, photos of classmates, news clippings about the KHS team, and a handwritten list of KHS basketball players....

Scope and Contents Opened on April 22, 1930, St. Mary’s Memorial Hospital was built on Knoxville’s Oak Hill Avenue as the third Catholic hospital established in Tennessee. Through the leadership of the Sisters of Mercy, many landmark additions were made to the hospital over the years including the East Tennessee Cancer Clinic in 1937 and the first cerebral palsy clinic in East Tennessee in 1948.
