C. C. (Cummins C.) Justus was an educator, writer, and historian who lived in Knoxville for much of his adult life. He was born in Grainger County, attended Powder Springs Academy, the University of Tennessee, and Harvard. He was superintendent of schools for Grainger County. He taught at Central High School in Knox county, Tullahoma, and Clinton. He was a master mason and a member of Masonic Lodge, no. 244. The collection includes scrapbooks of local history and family history.
