Will E. Parham (1860-1946) was a woolen mill operator, a state legislator, and chairman of the Blount County Court for many years. He was considered “the Blount County historian” before such an office existed officially and spent many years researching the history and the family history of Blount County. His genealogy research includes information on over 400 family surnames.

Included is a beaver-chewed stick with Harvey Broome's mailing label attached, a letter from Anne describes where he found the object. 2) Research done by the donor for an article about Harvey Broome titled "A View in the Wilderness: The Miracle of Harvey Broome" published in Smokies Life Magazine, Volume 8, No. 1.
