A circular: to the voters of Knox County
The only known copy of a campaign broadside circulated by James W. Newman, a candidate from a Knox County district for General Assembly during the state election of 1857. His opponent was one Moses White, against whom the preponderance of animated vitriol contained in this broadside is aimed.

Adam Clayton Powell card
Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. was a Baptist pastor and the first African American Congressman elected from New York State. The front of the card has a photo of Adam Clayton Powell standing next to and looking down at a woman holding a baby (most likely his wife Hazel Dorothy Scott and their son Adam Clayton Powell, III) and “VOTE FOR DADDY!” underneath the photo. Back of card has Powell’s listings of his accomplishments and reasons to re-elect him.
