All were originally mounted on heavy mat board and were a part of a traveling display that he used during his talks. Photographs are numbered and several have captions attached. A list is available in Box 1. A second list, John S. Van Gilder’s list of identifications for the “Panorama of Knoxville in 1865” (in 4 sections) is also in Box 1. Knoxville subjects.

John Houck Williams (1891-1974) and wife Martha Patterson Williams (1892-1969) are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. The couple moved from Sevier County to Knoxville. John Williams worked at Rohm Haas and was a veteran of World War I.
