Interview with Julia Armistead by McClung Collection Director Steve Cotham in 2003.
Armistead discusses her ealy life in Danville, Kentucky and Knoxville, her father's work for Southern Railways, attending Knoxville High School, earning her Library Science masters degree, living on Magnolia Avenue and in Sequoyah Hills, working for the American Library Association in Washington, D.C. and legislation she helped craft, working at Lawson McGhee Library and being a member of the Library board, the book mobile, the merger of the county and city library systems.
