Scope and Contents
The Crowder family visits and plays at the Norris Dam visitor's overlook on an overcast day. Adults move in and out of cars, one of which is a black Chevrolet with a 1948 Tennessee license plate. The young boys toss a glider. A woman holds an infant.

Women gather on the porch of a brick house. Men and children take turns posing on a horse. After a brief glimpse of industrial buildings and railroad tracks, the film returns to the farmstead, focusing on the horse. Back in the moving car, a pontoon bridge spans a river. Wooded ravines overhang a broad, shallow riverbed. A dam divides the river.
