Scope and Contents
Inauguration of Dr. Robert Leon Owens III as Knoxville College President.
Moldy tape was baked but much video interference and artifacts remain, resulting in faulty audio and video.
Introductory speech by Knoxville College Chairman, Dr. Owens speech begins at 9:00.
Tape cuts at 34:10 to choir singing "Climb Every Mountain."
At 38:50, singing of college hymn
At 40:30 Dr. James Foster Reece delivers benediction - after a few seconds, tape rewinds and restarts several times
At 47:00 faculty and assembled guests exit
At 51:00 Dr. Owens delivers speech. From this point until the end of the tape, there is no audio.
