Scope and Contents
Copy photographs made from nitrate negatives. Prints made from original negatives before freezing. Original book holding the negatives also contained a descriptive key, which did not match contents by arrangement. Pictures taken by Irvin (“Mike”) S. Saxton (see Baker-Himel School catalog, 1905-1906). Subjects include: Baker-Himel School, Knoxville, Bristol, Elizabethton Courthouse, residential int. & ext., high school sports, and Knoxville Lumber Company saw mill, Saxton & Company Lumber, etc. Henry N. [Saxton] family photographs, Knoxville, Tenn. Includes pictures of Knoxville Saw Mill Company. Also includes photographs of a school (Baker-Himel?); many unidentified people. Ca. 1900.
