Scope and Contents
Albert Milani (1891-1977) was born in Carrara, Italy. He was hired by Candoro Marble as their chief carver in 1927 and worked on many of their most prominent projects over the next three decades. An iconic photograph from his work shows him carving the eagles for the new Knoxville courthouse and post office. in 1932. (portrait photograph)
