Biographical / Historical
Charles Grandison Nenney (1834-1909) was the son of Charles P. and Sarah Galbraith Nenney. Charles P. Nenney was a farmer and merchant at Bent Creek, Cheek’s Crossroads, and of Russellville in Jefferson County, Tenn. (later Hamblen County). Charles G. Nenney was the nephew of Catherine Nenney (Mrs. Hugh Graham) of Tazewell, Tenn. He was an agent of the East Tennessee and Virginia Railroad for 28 years. He married Ellen Smith.
