“Election Notice. I will, on Saturday, the 12th of December 1891, at the regular voting place in each Civil District of Washington County, open and hold an election, for the purpose of voting County subscription of $150,000 to the capital stocks of the Louisville, Cumberland Gap and Atlantic Railway and the Unaka and Nola Chucky Railway, J. I. Hawkins, Sheriff of Washington County.”
