Dr. Ashley Wynn Trotter (1848-1918), a Sevierville, Tennessee-based dentist, married Julia Bell Wynn (1861-1960) in 1879. They went on to have three children, Jess Wynn (1887-1956), Raymond Joyce (1890-1972), and Lucile (1893-1982). The eldest daughter, Jess attended Murphy College in Sevierville, Tennessee, then traveled extensively, writing letters back to her family, especially her mother and sister Lucile. Their son, Raymond served as a wagoner in the military during World War I. Youngest daughter, Lucile married Robert Brooks Childress (1886-1947) in 1913 and moved to Laurens, South Carolina.
