Hugh Tyler photographic slides
Scope and Contents
Hugh Tyler is the presumed photographer, except in the case of two Cline commercial slides of the Smokies. Some slides are labeled with a simple description. Most are undated, though a few date to 1955. The majority were taken in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and vicinity--subjects include Mount LeConte, Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge Pottery and Old Mill), and Knoxville (Henley Bridge, river, downtown skyline, Main Street post office). The Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah National Park are two of the few outlying locations photographed.
