Scope and Contents
Papers from Harry S. Avery. Mr. Avery was the Chief Special Agent for Tennessee for the National Board of Fire Underwriters, Chief Deputy State Fire Marshall of Tennessee, and Commissioner of Corrections for the state of Tennessee. These papers include some of his arson and medical investigations as well as papers from his time as the Commissioner of Corrections.
