Christmas spent w. Col P. (Patterson?) who gave him a gold watch. Talk of Davy Crockett, names lots of Phila. cousins by name and Tenn. Relative Mr. Cowan. Detailed family letter. No env. Letter, 1867, Phila., Pa., to Theo. Rogan, Esq., Russellville, E. Tenn., from Bro, Will H. Both sick and Will refers to Tazewell as Theos home. Refers to Mr. Neill as family accountant. Mentions Secession Tax, rebels to be taxed, mentions Sam, the mulatto, and asks his politics. Mentions meeting at Morristown and the Kyles. Mr. Neils legal problems, suggests moving Lucy and Mr. Baker and Neil to the farm to protect them, along w. sister Margaret, to repay Neil for kindness to sister Sarah. Mentions children Maggie, Cassie, Lucy and Comie. Asks about Hu Kyle and anyone hurt in Rogersville? Patterson-Graham family connection.
