Jefferson County, Tenn., Physician’s Account Book, 1871-1874, 1877. [Dr. Helms? Wm. M. F. Helms?] 1 vol. Lists names of patients, services rendered, and accounts of money due and paid. H. C. Helms account on pp. 4-5. Helms document on p. 170. Volume contains several loose papers and notes. They were left in place and interleaved with acid-free paper. One letter to “Dear Aunt’ written from Milligan, Tenn., (unsigned, undated ALS 2 pp. 1 pc.) mentions commencement and the young ladies’ debates and the funeral of Rev. Dr. Taylor, father of the Governor and Alfred Taylor. (Letter is found between pages 214-215). 1870 account notes, T. A. France to Wm. M. F. Helms found between pp. 228-229.
