February 1, 1787, letter from Annie Christian (Beargrass, Ky.) to Captain Patrick Edwards, Fort William. ALS 1 p. Re: expecting trouble from Indians in the summer; let Mr. Curcundoll and Breden have land; “the people up in Lincoln are about being draughted to go against the Chicmoggas”; Indians stealing horses at McEfee’s and killed a man near Col. Shelby’s. + handwritten note on Curcundoll name Annie Christian was the sister of Patrick Henry and widow of Col. William Christian.
