Scope and Contents
The Mrs. Jane Jacques bible was published in Oxford by Oxford University Press in 1864. The only inscription is “Mrs. Jane Jacques, Knoxville, Nov. 7, 1871.” The Swiss French New Testament of the bible was published by the Societe Biblioque Protestante de Paris in 1860. It is inscribed “Jean Etienne Albert” at his first communion.
