Scope and Contents
Materials from the Tennessee Valley A&I Fair (Tennessee Valley Agricultural & Industrial Fair) (later Tennessee Valley Fair). Includes: scrapbooks, 1934-1985 (25 boxes) , posters, files, plaques, photographs (1 box from 1960s, 3 boxes from 1980s). 11 boxes of slides, photographs, proofs from Meet Me At The Fair by Steve Ash (+ negatives), duplicate publications. Large flat box includes Appalachian Exposition stock certificate and fair posters. + oversize B&W aerial photograph of fairgrounds adjacent to the interstate. Boxes 12 & 13: Photographs, negatives, audiotapes, and papers of the Fair. Box 14: Photographs & artifacts of the Smoky Mountain Antique Engine & Tractor Association. The fair was not held during the years of WWII.
