General
In May 2003 the items listed above received conservation treatment from Etherington Conservation Center, Inc., in Greensboro, N.C.. The bound blueprints were separated, treated to reduce acidity, tears were mended with Japanese paper and wheat starch paste, humidified and flattened and encapsulated. Black ink copies were made of the 7 blueprints. The 2 oversize items were backed with Japanese papers using wheat starch paste and were digitized and reduced-size copies were made. The 7 newly made black ink copies were taken to Lellyett & Rogers to have reverse image copies made (blackline on bond).
