Scope and Contents
Papers of the Cummings, Campbell, Gibson, Preston and related families. David Cummings (CSA) bought a plantation in Mississippi. Cummings home was Eagle Bend, Roane County, Tenn. Collection contains original manuscripts, photocopies, and some printed material. The folders are arranged alphabetically by surname and then by the name of the individual. The contents of each folder are as received, using the donor's heading, with original materials separated into additional folders but retaining the same file name (and labeled 1 of 2, 2 of 2, etc.). Donor included a family tree to explain relationships.
