Scope and Contents

C. Howard Bozeman (1918-2011) was a civic leader, lawyer, and politician. Bozeman served as a Knox County judge 1948-1966 and 1974-1982 under the county court system of government then in force in Knox County. He was potentate of Kerbela Shrine Temple, a member of the Scottish and York Rites, and a 33rd Degree Mason. Judge Bozeman served on the board of directors of the Shriners Hospitals for Children, and was president of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association and the Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The papers include social and political events and the United States Bicentennial.
