Scope and Contents
Three journals kept by John C. Robertson, 1862-1867 (written in 1866 and 1867), who ran away at age 16 to join the 63rd Regt., Tenn. Inf., Co. I. He was also a school teacher and licensed as a M. E. preacher. Lived in Springfield, Iowa, and New Liberty, Kentucky. He was born in Roane County, Tenn. First volume covers April 1862-September 1865, Started on September 24, 1866. Index on page 175. Second volume covers September 1865 to June 1866. Index on page 299. Third volume covers July 1866 to August 1867.
