Laura E. Luttrell Papers, gift of Ella Luttrell. Boxes 1-29 located 3rd floor genealogies. 8+ boxes newspaper clippings & 1-box government projects moved to 3rd floor files. Many other items moved into catalogued collection. 3 folders of family charts moved to oversize family charts: Murphy; McCutchen; and Luttrell & McMillan. Collection includes photographs, CDVs, photograph album, 1-box originals, personal and professional papers, and LEL's research note cards. Also, Mary M. Luttrell Bible with birth and marriage entries, ca. 1840-1890, for McMillan and Luttrell families. Bible is dated 1858. Entries have been photocopied and placed in Genealogy VFs. Luttrell, Campbell, Carter, McMillan, Meek, Murphy, Witt, Cragon, Goddard, Love, Legg, Gilliam and other families. Strawberry Plains, Stringfield family, French Broad Holston book research, Cherokee Indians, First Presbyterian Church, D.A.R. and other hereditary groups, East Tennessee Female Institute, historic houses (photographs and information), taverns, World War I letter from soldier in camp, Barbara McClung correspondence, Ada Campbell Larew, Zella Armstrong, Gilliam Station, Gamble house original art (originally thought to be the Chisholm Tavern). Also, US Census 1850 for Knox County, Tennessee, by Laura Luttrell and other writings by her.
