Scope and Contents
The Routh Research is a documented genealogy search done by Ross H. Routh, Brigadier General, U.S. Army, Retired. The General's major focus is Asa K. Routh (1818-1899) and his descendants from three wives: Katherine Kitts (1821-1862), Dorothy Jane Candler (1840-1878) and finally Mary A. Tipton (1841-1918). General Routh also researched and published his research on other family members and their descendants over a period of years. General Routh published four books on the genealogy of the Routh Family and the others were: The Routh Family in America (1976), Routh Family Revisited (1978), Stephen Routh (1797-1871) and Some Descendants (1983), and Our Routh Family: Descendants of Jacob Routh (1745-1827). The collection consists of three boxes of 39 folders.
