Account books, ledgers, and day books from: H. T. Jarnagin (Jarnagin, Tenn., 1870s-1880s); Carmichael and Jarnagin (1890s); Harris and Jarnagin (Morristown, Tenn., 1880s); Carmichael and Craig (1890s); Harris and Jarnagin (Tampico, Tenn., 1871-1872). Collection also includes: Cash book of the Tennessee Division, United Daughters of the Confederacy, 1922-1927; letter from F. C. Jarnagin written from Carson and Newman College, 1894; canceled checks of T. R. James, Morristown, Tenn; certificates of title to land in Missouri, Feb. 1, 1876, issued to Franklin W. Taylor, Joseph Eckels, and James T. Carmichael, Sr. 9 pcs.; broadside for Kansas City, Fort Scot, and Memphis Railroad; Sunday Herald (Nashville, Tenn), April 27, 1890; ad for Dr. C. C. Roc’s tonic sold by P. N. Wester, Jarnagin, Tenn.; and patent issued to Tristam D. Knight, Charleston, Tenn., 1857, for lumber planing machine. (Last two items are in oversize folders).
