Two account books from a store in Calhoun, McMinn Co., Tenn. Calhoun store day book, 1822-1824. Contains daily entries of business transactions for general merchandise from an unnamed store. Operated in Knoxville Nov. 25, 1822, to March 18, 1823, then in Calhoun from March 31, 1823-Sept. 25, 1824. + Calhoun store account book, ca. 1822-ca. 1830. Contains entries from above day book (and others, which McClung Collection does not have as of Feb. 1988). Index to entries at front of volume. Gideon Morgan’s name appears frequently in the volumes.
