James E. Thompson Photograph Albums
Scope and Contents
Four albums of Thompson photographs, with b&w prints mounted on linen. Three albums of Great Smoky Mountains photographs and one of Knoxville scenes and businesses. These were rescued from the Thompsons building after a fire in the 1950s by Alva Harmon, a Knoxville Fire Dept. chief. The albums were slightly scorched and damaged by the fire and were given to Mr. Harmon by the Thompsons.
Albums removed from binding and foldered in boxes by album.
