Scope and Contents
Helen Black Coleman Photograph Collection (4"x5" b&w negatives); Helen Ruth Black Coleman (1909-1992) married Clarence Coleman in 1924. She learned b&w photography to help with her husband’s printing business during World War II and also worked at TVA as a photographer/printer due the labor shortage. She continued photography through the war and postwar years, but it played less of a role in her life after that time.
