45 carte de visites of Lynn family and others, some Knoxville photographers (T.M. Schleier, McCrary & Branson; also Bushong, Charleston, Tenn..). Seller’s listing with collection. Small photograph album (cover missing). 80+ pages. Dr. Wm. N. Lynn. Knoxville, Tenn., photo album from his father, Strother James Lynn, containing many early East Tenn. homes and locations. This album was acquired from the descendents/ heirs of the Dr. William and Edith Lynn estate. The photos are mostly of early snapshot size and color, with some being of real photo postcard size and quality. There are several cyanotypes. Most, if not all, were taken before 1916, as S. James Lynn died in 1915. Includes: Kingsport with photos of the 'old home', John Lynn's house- Oak Hill; Joe Vance's home- Walnut Hill, Dr. Geo. S. Patton's home, old Mrs. Palmer, Kingsport; mother, Nanny Lynn's grave, John Lynn's store house, Netherland Hotel, old stone house, Sallie Gaines old house- built by John Lynn in 1803, old Kingsport Academy, Charles Lynn house, "Prospect Hill" the Rollin home, old Bachmann house, Negro family of Uncle Anthony and wife, Anthony and family, North Knoxville home of S. James Lynn and family, various Lynn homes about town before 1900, Mrs. McSpadden, Camp Love, Rotherwood Farm and Ross Factory building, built by Frederick Ross, old bridge across Holston River 1915, Roller's farm near Kingsport, interior of decorated store during holiday, new Kingsport Pharmacy building, shown sitting by itself on the undeveloped street, Chilhowee Mtn., Nebo, bridge at Rotherwood under construction, decorated patriotic farm float, probably on Roller farm, old mill at Rotherwood, Graded school. CC&O RR cut near Cameron Tenn., Va., many family photos, many inside the Lynn home.
